A Note of Thanks
What a wonderful day it was. Sunday, August 2, 2020; the Institution Service of our new Rector, Fr. Travis. It was one of Immanuel’s brightest days. Bishop John, all those taking part in such a dynamic service; it showed what a special place Immanuel is! And with the Lord’s help, for we know He is with us, Immanuel will continue to become more and more special. To be recognized on this wonderful day meant so much to me and to Karen. And as you saw, I was one-hundred per cent surprised. It has been such an honor to be your Senior Warden and work with people of such faith from whom I’m always learning and who have been so supportive. Your gift will be Biblically used; it will go to help the homeless in our community. And we can all take to heart the words of Matthew 25: “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these, My brethren, you did it to Me.”
