ROCK THE BLOCK
Rock the Block is one of the largest Immanuel Outreach Events put on by the Seed Sowers Outreach Ministry at Immanuel each summer. Below is a list of ways people helped served at Rock the Block in the past. Details are subject to change and are usually finalized and sent out to the congregation before the event.
Feel free to reach out to the Seed Sowers Leadership for how you can serve at our next Rock the Block!

Volunteer Role Examples:
RELATIONSHIP BUILDERS: Be intentional about connecting and having conversations with people who attend! Relationship builders often serve as the "frontlines" of representing Jesus to our community on a personal level at Immanuel Outreach Events, even at times having intentional Gospel Conversations with guests.
GAMES & ACTIVITIES: Help setup and facilitate games & activities at the event.
GREETERS: Welcome families and direct them around to the back of the school yard.
INFORMATION TABLE: Set up brochures and other information about Immanuel. Answer questions about Immanuel’s ministries and assist families in filling out provided contact cards if they would like more information. Collect completed contact cards. Distribute Immanuel frisbees to children and families.
CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION: Sort and set up clothing onto tables according to size and gender. Assist families to distribute clothing as needed. After, pack clothing away as instructed by school staff.
BACKPACK/SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION: Set up backpacks (already filled with supplies) on tables. Later assist children in picking out a backpack. After, pack backpacks away as instructed by the school staff.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE SPEAKER: Connect with families who speak foreign languages. Assist wherever needed to communicate. Please specify which language you speak if interested.
SOUND & TECH: Help set up the sound system to play music at the event.
FOOD & DRINK: Distribute food and drink at the event to those who come up and ask for it.
