What are Blessing Bags? They are donated bags filled with donated supplies that are given to women fleeing abuse.

 

We are looking for gently used or new medium to large purses filled with travel sized toiletries for the women at the ACTS battered women’s shelter. Women often flee to the shelter with little or no personal effects. When women the arrive at the the shelter, they receive one of the purses packed with the donated toiletries. If you have a purse gathering dust, please consider donating it. We are also in need of travel sized toiletries to fill the purses. Donated toiletries can be placed in the box in the hall by the coat rack which is decorated with butterflies and roses.

This is a new ministry so any help will be greatly appreciated. Attached to the box is a list of the items that go into each purse. You can also grab a slip which list the needed items.
 

We plan for this to be an ongoing ministry and our goal is to provide ten bags a month.
