Rock the Block
Wednesday, August 6
Martin Luther King Elementary School
13224 Nickleson Dr., Woodbridge
6:30pm - 8pm
Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
Psalm 41:1 (NIV)
What is ROCK THE BLOCK? It's one of Immanuel's opportunities to live out loud the admonition from Galatians 6:10, "let us do good." We are called to live out the love of the LORD JESUS with Martin Luther King Elementary School students and their families. We do this by prayerfully giving new backpacks, school supplies, socks, and snacks to those in need.
Our youth will be playing games with and getting to know the children and their families. New this year, we will partner with our VBS kids and others to give away gently-used books and family-friendly DVDs.
