Each year the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic (DOMA) conducts an annual meeting (Synod) with delegate representation from the Clerical Order and from the Lay Order. Our Rector and Assistant Priest are members of the Clerical Order.
Immanuel can elect three members to the Lay Order.

Each delegate and alternate shall be an Eligible Voter in the Congregation represented and shall have been confirmed or received by a Bishop of the Province or another province of the Anglican Communion. Additionally, delegates must be willing to affirm the Fundamental Declarations of the Diocese and affirm Title II, Canon 5 of the Diocese Canons. These documents can be provided upon request.

Synod this year is being held in Baltimore from Friday, November 14, at 7:30 PM through 4:00 PM Saturday, November 15. Anyone can attend but only delegates can vote.

Please prayerfully consider nominating yourself or others. If you wish to nominate others, please ask for their agreement to serve. Nominations should be presented to one of the election committee members, Deb Tomchek, Scott Ankers or
Mike Harpster.
