A Word from the Director of Family Ministries

Dear Immanuel family,

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is July 28 through August 1 and we couldn’t be more excited! Each year, VBS is a powerful time where our church comes together to share God’s love with children in our congregation and our community.

This year’s theme is Live It Out, and throughout the week, kids will be learning what it means to love like Jesus. Each day will focus on one way we can “live out” our faith:

·        Love one another

·        Be kind to one another

·        Forgive one another

·        Pray for one another

·        Serve one another

Each day will be full of energy, fun, and purpose. We will have Bible stories, music, crafts, games, snacks, and missions, all designed to help kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade grow in their faith and live it out in everyday life.

We need your help to spread the word.

We currently have 31 children registered for VBS. And we have space for more! VBS is a big outreach opportunity, and your invitation can make all the difference.

Please think about the children in your life. This can be neighbors, grandchildren, classmates, teammates, family friends and personally invite them to come. A simple invitation can open the door to a life-changing week. Many kids who attend VBS for the first time do so because someone they trust invited them. Another easy way to invite is by sharing our VBS post on Facebook. Social media is a simple but powerful tool… you never know who in your circle might be looking for a safe, fun, and faith-filled opportunity for their kids this summer. We need your prayers!

As we prepare for a week of ministry, we also ask you to partner with us in prayer. We will share specific ways to pray next week. We will be asking for prayers for the children, volunteers, family and church. But don’t wait…start praying now!
