Pastor’s Corner

Turn again, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven, and see;

Have regard for this vine, the stock that your right hand planted….(Psalm 80: 14, 15)

As I’ve been preparing for this week’s One Service Sunday and Parish Meeting, my mind has turned repeatedly to the above verses from Psalm 80. In my prayerful imagination, I see Immanuel as that vine, and our God as the vinedresser tending us. Under his attentive care, we are maturing and growing—a distinct contrast to what the psalmist had been experiencing.

Your attendance this Sunday is participation in what our Father is cultivating in Immanuel. Worshiping as one congregation is central to that participation, as is hearing about the vision and the provision the Lord is giving to us. And don’t underestimate the growth in relationships that happens at a picnic!

Here are a few important reminders:

·       The service begins at 9:30am, the meeting at 10:45ish, and the picnic immediately after the meeting.

·       Overflow parking and shuttles are available at Cole’s Elementary.

·       Please sign up here for the picnic.

·       Please sign up here for childcare (nursery-elementary) for the Parish Meeting. (There will be Children’s Church as usual during the service.)

I look forward to being together as a family, and sharing with you how Jesus invites to join him in being Pro-Vision.

Your Pastor in Christ,
