VBS News from the Director of Family Ministries

Dear Immanuel Family,

Vacation Bible School is almost here! From July 27-31, our church will be filled with children, volunteers, laughter, worship, and opportunities to share the love of Jesus. One of the greatest ways you can partner with us is through prayer.

As you pray this week, would you lift up these specific requests?

Pray for the children

• That every child feels safe, welcomed, and deeply loved.

• That they clearly hear the good news of Jesus and grow in their faith.

• That God would use this week to plant seeds that continue to grow long after VBS ends.

Pray for our volunteers

• That God would give volunteers energy, strength, joy, patience, wisdom, and unity as we serve together throughout the week.

• That we would reflect Christ's love in every conversation, activity, and interaction with each child and family.

• That God would encourage and equip us as we serve, using meaningful relationships to point children and families to Jesus.

Pray for our families

• That parents and caregivers experience the love and hospitality of our church.

• That conversations about Jesus continue at home throughout the year.

• That families who do not have a church home would feel welcomed and encouraged to return.

Pray for practical needs

• For everyone's safety and health throughout the week.

• For good weather, especially during outdoor game time.

• That every detail, from supplies and snacks to schedules and technology, comes together smoothly.

Finally, please pray for VBS Sunday on August 2 as we welcome VBS families to worship with us at the 10:30 service. Pray that many will join us, experience the love of Christ through our church family, and take another step in their faith journey.
