Warden’s Word

Dear Immanuel Family,

 Our Women’s Retreat this past weekend was filled with blessings!! We were grateful for:

·       Amazing teaching by the Rev. Dr. Erika Moore. Most of us, especially me, were not familiar with the book of Ezekiel. Erika taught us about the first three visions (including the Valley of Dry Bones) emphasizing the Glory of God. On Sunday, she showed us how Jesus is the Glory of God Incarnate, yet willing to suffer and die for us, caring for us when we experience suffering.

·       Wonderful discussions in our small groups. In discussing the teachings, the ladies experienced deep sharing of needs and experiences, and special memories of our growing-up times and our families.

·       Meaningful prayer times. For those with specific prayer concerns, our prayer ladies spent time seeking God’s provision for His daughters, and God was faithful to respond.

·       Blessing Words from the Lord. On Friday evening, we each selected a small envelope containing a Word related to Ezekiel. The Word I received was Obedient, and I pray that I am. Ask other Retreat ladies to share their Words with you.

·       Our young women who were with us! Their vibrant and joyful spirits were a balm to us.

Through the entire weekend, we were covered by the Spirit of God and enjoyed lovely fellowship. AND, we had amazing crafts and a very tasty ice cream social on Saturday! What a treat!
